Meeting:  The February meeting will be held on Thursday, February 9th at 6 PM at the Gaslight in Rockerville.  After the meeting there will be Bluegrass music at the Gaslight if you would like to stay and enjoy the music.

Counts Car Show:  The Counts Club Car Show will be held on February 17, 18 and 19th.  The BHCC will meet on Saturday evening for supper and then we will go to the car show.  More details to follow on where we will be going to supper.  If you are interested in putting a car in the show you can visit the Counts website for the registration.

Firehouse Theatre:  If there is any interest we may go to the Firehouse Theatre in February.  We will discuss further at the February meeting.  We may meet somewhere for supper and then go to the theatre since the tickets for the theatre no longer include a meal at the Firehouse.

President’s notes:  Lee  presented Bob and Kim with a card and presented both of them a Black Hills Corvette Club embroidered polo shirt for their dedication to the club.  We all wish them well in their new venture with Bob’s new job and hope to see them back in the Rapid City area in a few short years.

Lee also thanked everyone who helped out with different events during the year.  I will email the 2011 year in review to each of the BHCC members with a list of the events that the club participated in.

Christmas Party 2011-2012:  The Black Hills Corvette Club Christmas party was held on Saturday, January 14th at the K Bar S Lodge in Keystone.  We had 26 members attend the Christmas party.  The day started with a social in the lobby from 3 to 5 PM, the buffet meal followed at 5:30 and then we went back to the lobby for the gift exchange.  The gift exchange was entertaining as several gifts exchanged hands the maximum number of times during the gift exchange.  After the gift exchange the January meeting was held with the election of new officers as follows:

For Treasurer:  Karla nominated Cliff and Kim nominated Chuck.  After the vote of the club, Chuck was voted in for our new Treasurer.

Webmaster:  Mike was elected for another year as webmaster.

Historian:  Darlene nominated Wayne.  After the vote of the club Wayne was elected as the new Historian.

Vice President:  Lisa nominated Larry and Mike nominated Bill.  After the vote of the club, Bill was voted in for our new Vice President.

Hopefully Lisa bought a lottery ticket after her name was drawn for all three prizes!  We did have the following names drawn during the 50/50 drawing but they were not in attendance at the meeting, Marsha, Dennis, Daryl  and Bruce.

The Black Hills Corvette Club would like to thank the following outgoing officers for their dedication to the club.   Bob as Treasurer, Darlene as Historian, Ken as Vice President and a special thanks to Lee for leading the club as President for the past three years.
